There is something to suit everyone that escapes to
Pembrokeshire, whether it be walking the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path,
outdoor adventure activities, savouring some of the local food and drink,
candle making, pottery, surfing, cycling, visting castles and other
historical sites, boat trips, watching on and off shore wildlife,
nurseries and gardens, paint balling, golf, or just soaking in the
scenary? the list goes on and on, as there truly is something to suit the
needs of every visitor. Beaches Traethllyfn is a beautiful, clean, unspoilt beach a couple miles from our village of Llanrhian, Pembrokeshire.
Abereiddy - a favourite spot for parents who need a safe beach
for their children, the adventurous who like Coasteering or jumping off
ruins in to the Blue Lagoon. For those who like to take the short walk,
Traethllyfn beach is a 20 minute walk away, and of course, those who like to sample Welsh Ice
Cream or a cup of Tea, there are refreshments at the ice cream van, which opens from Easter to October Half Term. Whitesands is a 10 minute drive from Llanrhian. Fantastic for a family day out with buckets, spades and body boards. When conditions are right, Atlantic breakers attract surfers from far and wide.
Newgale has a three mile expanse of sand which is ideal for
wind sports and walking. You will find a kite surfing school in the summer
and in winter, you can often enjoy a relaxing stroll along these tranquil
sands. Porthgain is a short walk, or a two minute drive from Llanrhian. You have a choice of pub or bistro to enjoy locally produced food, including fresh fish dishes, whilst watching the sun dip down to the horizon in the harbour. It's a great place to start or finish a walk to/from Traethllyfn or Abereiddy beaches, or Trefin and Abercastell to the north.
Embark on walking the entire 163 miles of beautiful
Pembrokeshire Coastal path, in the National Park or select some shorter
sections to cover during your stay. Visit historical St David's Cathedral, in St. David's,
Pembrokeshire, UK . The Bishop's Palace next door, hosts outdoor
Shakespearean plays amongst other productions during the summer
months. Explore the Pembrokeshire coastline, islands, wildlife,
offshore whale and dolphin watching by boat. Take a boat ride run by a
choice of operators that depart from the Life Boat station at St
Justinian's, St. Davids, Pembrokeshire around Ramsey Island, the Bishops,
or Grassholm. History Experience a taste of traditional agriculture in Pembrokeshire,
visit a Neolithic Burial chamber, iron age fort, castles and a whole host
of other historical places of interest in our
locality. |
